2013 Ford Flex
Out of the Ordinary

|
A recent addition to the Ford lineup, the 2013 Ford Flex offers a significant update over its predecessor, with a focus on style, comfort and versatility.
Easily one of the most recognizable vehicles on the road, with its modern looks and square lines, the basic look of the Flex remains unchanged, receiving only minor tweaks and enhancements. Most noticeable is the absence of the Ford logo that many buyers are accustomed to seeing, replaced instead with lettering that simply spells out "Flex".
The Flex front end has also been updated with a new chrome grille, emphasizing sleekness and unified design, integrating seamlessly with the headlights. Like previous models, buyers can customize the outside appearance by opting for the two-tone roof option.

When it comes to features, the Flex doesn't disappoint. It has plenty of options to match its bold design. Edmunds.com notes "that even base models are generously equipped with a bevy of comfort and convenience features."
First and foremost is passenger comfort. Among seven-passenger crossovers, the Flex offers best-in-class second and third row leg room. Voice-activated SYNC with MyFord, rain-sensing wipers, rear view camera, active park assist, heated and cooled front seats, second row console refrigerator, power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, and power-adjustable pedals with memory are just a few of the standard and available options. Buyers looking to take full advantage of the ample cargo space can also opt for the PowerFold option, allowing the third row seating to be flipped and folded with the push of a button.
Since its debut, the Flex has stood out as a quirky, but ultimately very capable, crossover SUV. With the 2013 model, Ford builds on those strengths, while at the same time remaining true to what makes the Flex so unique.
