The Chevrolet Malibu has won a myriad of awards. It was named the 2008 North American Car of the Year, and it's on more top ten lists than we'd care to list. That's because we know you want to decide for yourself what makes this vehicle so special.

The Malibu offers four trims ranging from the base LS to the LTZ. Even the LS comes with full power features, air-conditioning, satellite radio, side curtain airbags, traction control and OnStar. The LT versions upgrade with stability control, alloy wheels and (on the 2LT) heated seats and more power features. Highlights of the LTZ include foglamps, 18-inch alloys, leather seating and an upgraded audio system.
After receiving an extreme makeover for 2008, the current Chevrolet Malibu looks more like a luxury sedan than what you picture a typical family sedan to look like. Along with the upscale styling is a much-improved cabin in terms of materials and build-quality. Two-tone interior schemes, even on base models, further the effect.
Driving the Malibu is driving in comfort. The seats not only look good, they feel good. The 2008 Malibu has a wheelbase 6 inches longer than the 2007 model. That means a smoother over-the-highway ride. Many say the car is much quieter than it used to be, giving it that near-luxury feel again.
